What do our readers think of A Lady in Waiting?
Hello! I just wanted to write and tell you just how much I enjoyed the first issue of "A Lady in Waiting"! It seemed like God spoke to my heart in every article. I especially appreciated "To Run and Not Grow Weary", "Cost: One Hour", and "The Value of a Minute".
I was very impressed at the quality of your magazine! From the full-size format, glossy pages, full-color photos, and even the business ads, it had the feel of a "real" magazine. I think there is a real need for "professional" publications aimed at godly young ladies. (Non-glossy, black and white magazines are great too, though! :-))
Thank you so much for offering the premiere issue for free - I am most definitely going to subscribe! :-)

[The] magazine is very well done!! I liked the serious nature of it..and was able to allow my *oldest* two to peruse at their discretion/convenience because of the innocence..(which if not, it would have been fine..I would just have kept it till they were older)..but it was very refreshing!...I lent out the magazine already to a family that does have older daughters and requested my copy back ASAP.

A Lady in Waiting is a print publication designed specifically for unmarried Christian young ladies , especially those who are past their high school years and are still living at home.
It's my hope that this magazine will help meet the current needs of stay-at-home daughters with articles that speak to them where they are now – not just where they hope to be several years down the road. Each issue of A Lady in Waiting includes articles on running a home business, basic homemaking skills, encouraging our siblings, ministry opportunities, and growing in Christ, as well as letters from “older women,” recipes, book reviews, and more.
The magazine is currently printed on a funds-available basis, but I hope that by mid-2008 we'll be able to print on a regular quarterly schedule.

What exactly is Tea Leaves? Is it a recipe book? A historical and cultural essay? A science lesson? A list of the different types of tea?
It's a little bit of all of these. A sort of primer to the world of tea, Tea Leaves touches on the history and cultural influences of tea, the science of the tea plant and the methods used in harvesting, as well as basic tea etiquette and some of the most common types of tea. One section is completely devoted to ideas on hosting your own tea party and another chapter includes several dozen teatime recipes. When you're finished reading, you can take the fun tea quiz at the end of the book, or use the quiz at your next tea party. You can also utilize this book as a unit study resource and give the quiz to your students!
(Projected page count is approximately 90-120 pages.)
